NY Resolution Bingo Card
While we were chatting on the podcast about accountability, I had a realization I might be over complicating some of the goals and expectations I set for myself. I also think this could be part of the reason I often feel like I’m falling short or not achieving enough. Those negative feelings can be overwhelming, but this year I’ve decided to take a different approach.
I’ve been inspired by the bingo cards I’ve seen all over social media, and partly because I enjoyed playing road trip bingo during car rides as a child. These cards seem like a fun and straightforward way to track goals so I thought ‘why not give it a try’. To keep them simple, I started with a small card of just nine spaces - including the free space of course. Think of it as an achievement just for getting the card set up and making it. That’s your first accomplishment.
As I gain confidence and momentum, I’ve prepared a larger one to grow into.
But I am starting small this year :)
Instead of packing the board with overwhelming goals or long-term dreams, I’ve chosen to fill them with things that bring me joy, ideas, and aspirations that come naturally to my mind without overthinking or striving for perfection. Each square represents something achievable making my goals less intimidating and more accessible.
To keep myself accountable, I’ve hung the board beside my bed. It’s a daily visual reminder of what I’m working towards keeping me focused and motivated without the fear of losing sight of my goals (or losing the list).
If this idea resonates with you, you can grab my bingo card template here or feel free to get creative and make your own with paper, crayons, or even magazine clippings.
Let’s focus on small steps that add up to big changes and enjoy the journey along the way. Here’s to a simpler, more joyful 2025!
