Welcome to the Girl Gang blog! Each month we will have a blog post that is released after our episode to expand on the topic we covered and have each of our recommendations for the month. Along with our episode recaps, each of us have our own dedicated blog for those of you who want to follow along with some of things the Girl Gang likes to focus on. Brandi will typically be giving a book recommendation or blogging about her travels - for herself and her traveling advising business she is developing. Sarah, aka Kozy, will post about the many DIY crafts or goods she is making - be it baking bread, redoing her dresser, or a small craft you can do at home with the supplies you already have. I focus more on my self-help journey and things that I’ve learned along the way. We hope you enjoy these recaps and can’t wait to share our experiences with you!
Let’s dive into Episode 1 of Girl Gang Podcast.
How We Met - Mutual friends of our now larger friend group. Brandi knew Zack, Zack knew Brian. I knew Christine, who introduced me to Zack. Zack introduced me to Brandi. Brian met Sarah on a dating app. Brandi and Rachael met Sarah through Brian. Females bond over the years due to our love of music and now favorite band, Danger Party, and viola, you have the Girl Gang! Shout out to dating apps and meeting people in college.
Friends Over the Years - Honestly, none of us are really the types of girls that have a lot of “girl friends”. We have struggled with friendships over the years and appreciate all the types of people we’ve met.
What We Do - Kozy and Rachael bonded because they were event planners together. Rachael started her career in Higher Education and then moved into the tech space a few years ago. Kozy has done so many jobs over the years but focuses on events in her past life and now marketing in the healthcare industry. Brandi is the badass who has always known what she wanted to do. Saving human and animal lives one scientific method at a time!
Hobbies - Brandi is currently getting certified for a dry-suit certification for scuba diving and having out in the Arctic Circle next year. All things traveling and avid reader. Rachael is reading the Throne of Glass series right now…we talk about some smut…read some of the Sarah J. Mass series honestly. Kozy is currently focusing on crocheting, her house plants are always on-point, and has a whole room dedicated to her crafts. She’s also been making a different type of bread every few days that are delicious! Rachael has a good amount of house plants that she started collecting when she started working from home and is kicking around the idea of becoming a vegetarian. They all bond over the love of music, particularly alternative rock and/or emo music. We love DP!
